How long can you store these? Do they stay good for a few days if in airtight container/bag?
These stay fresh if stored airtight for up to a week!
I love avalanche bars, I make mine with Almond butter and white chocolate only. Allergies. Then put in slivered almonds and so enjoy eating them.

Question: Do you think these would be good with a mixture of cereals/crackers instead of just rice crispies? like a combination of broken up graham crackers, chex and rice crispies, for a total of 3 cups? Thanks!
Yes, absolutely!
Would I be able to cut these into star shapes using a cookie cutter? Do they hold together well enough? They look delicious!
They will hold their shape, bu they can get slightly crumbly if not packed well enough. If you do use star shapes though, you will have a lot of unusable bar leftover, as you can’t really shape this after it’s dried. Hope this helps!
Happy Holidays! Have you ever made these using a larger amount of peanut butter 1/3 or 1/2 cup? Do you think it may negatively affect the consistency? Make them too soft to work with etc.? Or does the recipe as written provide the yummy peanut butter flavor I crave and want? Also have you ever tried adding some melted marshmallows to the mix?
Thank You!
If you add more peanut butter it will definitely affect the texture… but you could use peanut butter chips in place of the chocolate chips to amp up the peanut butter!
