This EASY Honey Mustard Recipe is perfect sauce for dipping, but can double as a salad dressing, or sandwich spread. It’s tangy, sweet, a little spicy and can be made in 5 minutes!
This is the BEST Honey Mustard Recipe and it’s so EASY!
I have been on a bit of a condiment kick lately! I posted my Greek Salad Dressing recipe last month, and then my Chicken Dipping Sauce not too long after. AND here I am today posting another sauce! This is perfect on the side your favorite chicken recipes to dip, or try my chicken marinade, and grill up some chicken and serve this honey mustard on the side and you have a total winner of a meal!
Honestly I am all about a chicken tender. Or chicken nugget. Or grilled chicken breast…so any sauce that I can try to dip my tenders in, is fine with me! I have some favorites, and of course, a delicious honey mustard is right up there with the best of them. I guess I need to share my Ranch recipe with you guys soon too!
This Only Takes 5 Minutes!
What’s SO great about this recipe, is how incredibly simple it is. Most likely you have all the ingredients in your kitchen right now to whip up a batch! All you need are:
- Honey
- Dijon Mustard
- Yellow Mustard
- Mayo
- Garlic Powder
- and optional – Cayenne Pepper
Just mix all of these together in a bowl and you’re all set! Of course you can eat it right away, OR you can wait a few hours, and let it chill in the fridge. The flavors meld together the longer the honey mustard sits, which makes it even better!
Can You Use Honey Mustard Sauce On Salads?
Yes, absolutely! This recipe is GREAT on salads! You can use it exactly as it’s written for a nice chopped salad, OR you can sub out a few ingredients and make it a little more like a honey mustard vinaigrette, which is fantastic as well…
Just add in a little buttermilk in place of the mayonnaise, and use white vinegar instead of the extra yellow mustard. This thins it a little but and gives it a little bit more vinegar punch, which is great for salads!
What Can You Serve Honey Mustard With?
Like I said, when I think honey mustard, I first think about dipping sauce for chicken nuggets, but it can be used in so many other ways!
- As a dip for veggies
- Brushed on top of salmon and baked
- Add a few spoonfuls into your mashed potatoes for a huge flavor boost!
- Brush it on cooked carrots
- Marinate chicken in honey mustard before grilling
- Drizzled on top of a steak
The fact that this sauce can be made in minutes, is what makes it so great. You can really elevate any dish with a drizzle of this recipe.
Enjoy!
